PURPOSE

Our purpose is to see mothers who are often unseen.

To give voice to her stories that too often go unheard. To remind every mother raising a child with disabilities that she is not invisible, not alone, and not without value.

We exist to create a movement where mothers feel truly connected, equipped, and empowered, with practical tools, heartfelt conversations, and a global sisterhood that stretches far beyond borders.

At The StrongHER Side Podcast, our purpose is simple yet powerful: to help one million mothers rise in courage, in identity, and in hope.

When you rise, you step out of the shadows and into the life you were meant to live!

Hi, I'm Hannah!

I’m a mother, mentor, and voice for women who are walking the road of raising children with disabilities.

More than titles, I’m a mum who knows what it feels like first hand, having a beautiful son diagnosed with Fragile X and an intellectual disability.  I lived in the deep end — the sleepless nights, the advocacy battles, the diagnosis and the loneliness no one talks about.

That lived experience is why I started The StrongHER Side Podcast.  I believe mothers deserve more than survival. We deserve to be seen, supported, and valued — not just as carers, but as women with dreams, identity, and impact to make in the world.

For over a decade, I’ve worked in leadership, business, and speaking across both corporate and personal spaces. I’ve stood on international stages, written words that have reached thousands, and mentored women to rise in strength, however, this — this — is the work of my heart: creating a movement where one million mothers around the world feel less alone, more empowered, and deeply honoured for the unseen work they do every single day.I don’t just want to share stories.

I want to build bridges — between mothers, between communities, between hope and the hard.I’m here to walk alongside you — to remind you that your story matters, your voice carries weight, your presence is powerful, and you are never invisible.  This isn’t just my mission, it’s our mission — a movement built with mothers, for mothers.

And the future you dream of? It begins right here, together.

Hey, I'm Vanessa

Most mums will tell you they never expected to end up on this journey — and as a mum of four, no-nonsense entrepreneur, and self-proclaimed “crunchy mum,” I can confidently say I didn’t see this one coming either.

Two years ago, life threw us into the deep end of the medical system with not one, but two diagnoses, only months apart. Our son was diagnosed with cancer that affected his ability to walk, and just one month into his treatment, our daughter arrived with a post-natal diagnosis of Trisomy 21 and a major heart defect that required life-saving surgery.

Talk about life changing in an instant.Everything became split into “before diagnosis” and “after diagnosis.”

Overnight, I went from running a business to running between hospital wards, juggling surgeries, medical appointments, overwhelm, grief, shock, and the loss of my identity.

Fast forward to today, and I’m co-founder of the StrongHER Side Podcast; a space I wish I’d had when I was thrust into this world.

As a mum navigating disability, identity, and a medical system I always swore I’d avoid (spoiler: the universe had other plans), resilience and grace for myself — and for others — have become my new mantras.

I draw on my business background to share mindset techniques, staying calm in chaos, and learning to find pockets of light even when the lights feel like they’ve gone out. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned, laugh at the messy bits, and learn from other mums who are a few steps ahead of me on this perception-shifting, heart-opening journey we call life.
